Black wheat flour is a superfood with numerous health benefits. One of the main differences that distinguish this product from conventional wheat flour is the higher concentration of Anthocyanins (powerful antioxidants). Additionally, black wheat flour is also higher in other minerals such as Iron, magnesium, phosphorus, selenium, manganese and zinc. 1.Is black wheat flour gluten-free?
While it is common for black wheat flour to be marketed as gluten-free by some retailers, it is in fact not. It is therefore advisable for people with celiac disease and or gluten sensitivity to avoid black wheat flour and choose gluten-free alternatives.

When compared to regular brown wheat, yes it is richer and can have up to 60% more iron content.

Black Wheat flour is a great substitute for nearly all food that is made using conventional wheat flour or a flour from a similar grain. It can theregore be used to make breads, cakes and Indian flat bread (chapatis and rotis).
